I grew up watching and playing hockey. It was Canada, so in nearly every neighborhood there were out door ice rinks that came alive during the winter months. Full of children and adults alike, you could hear that swishing of the skates, the pounding of the puck hitting the boards or snapping from sick to stick, the cheers of parents encouraging their kids. But, you also heard different languages (English, French, Russian, Ukrainian, Chinese, Polish, etc.) as people from different parts of the world came together to play. Sports, whether hockey or tennis, swimming or ski-jumping, brings out the international and is full of variety, intrigue, different sounds, languages and people.
I like sports, and have been involved with them since I was a young boy. I played hockey and baseball in organized leagues and other sports all the time with friends. My sons and daughters are in into sports; basketball, baseball, hockey, soccer, dancing, gymnastics, etc. etc. etc. My wife and I run around so much, we sometimes forget which event we are going to. Whether we are managing game events, selling tickets, ushering people to their seats, being a referee or coach, or just cheering one of us on, we seem to be always involved at some sporting shindig.
So, whether you need an interpreter at your sporting event, a translator for a contract or gear instructions, or localization for your sports page, I can help. Give me a call, and let’s get the game started.
